Antigua and Barbuda's Immigration and Customs officials say the country is better equipped to combat fraudulent travel and cross-border crime following participation in the 29th session of the Chiefs of Immigration and Comptrollers of Customs Conference.
According to Antigua Observer, the three-day conference was held at the Royalton Resort and brought together chiefs and comptrollers from across the region to address shared border security challenges.
Officials indicated that the insights and strategies gained from the conference will strengthen the nation's capacity to detect and respond to fraudulent travel documentation and criminal activity at its borders.
The annual gathering serves as a key platform for regional immigration and customs leaders to align policies, share intelligence, and coordinate responses to emerging threats facing Caribbean border agencies.
