A magnitude 4.3 earthquake rattled the region late Tuesday evening, according to Antigua Observer, citing automated tracking data released by the University of the West Indies Seismic Research Centre (UWI SRC).
The tremor struck at 9:41 p.m. local time. Preliminary data placed the epicenter at a depth of 39 kilometres, approximately 82 kilometres northeast of St. John's, Antigua and Barbuda.
The UWI Seismic Research Centre, which monitors seismic activity across the Caribbean, released the findings as part of its automated tracking system. As reported by Antigua Observer, authorities have not yet issued any official statements regarding damage or injuries at this time.
