An elderly couple was beaten and shot inside their home during a predawn robbery in Liberta earlier this week, according to Antigua Observer.
Police said two masked men forced their way into the Green Hill residence at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26th. The intruders attacked a 68-year-old man and his 69-year-old wife while demanding money.
As reported by Antigua Observer, the husband was beaten during the violent encounter. Both victims sustained injuries in the assault.
