United Progressive Party (UPP) Leader Jamale Pringle was removed from the parliamentary chamber yesterday morning after Senate President Alicia Williams-Grant enforced a constitutional oath requirement, according to Antigua Observer.
The incident unfolded just minutes after the scheduled 9 a.m. start of proceedings at the Parliament building.
As reported by Antigua Observer, the three UPP Senators — Chester Hughes, Jonathan Wehner, and Ashworth Azille — abruptly rose from their seats in connection with the unfolding events.
