Health officials are urging the public not to be alarmed following the confirmation of two imported malaria cases in Antigua, stressing that the mosquito species capable of transmitting the disease is the rarest of the island's 16 known mosquito species and is almost never encountered by the general public.
The reassurance came from the Ministry of Health, which moved quickly to address any concerns that the confirmed cases may have raised among residents.
