The Ministry of Health is preparing a proposal for Cabinet that would prohibit entry to persons who have been present in designated Ebola outbreak areas within 45 days prior to travelling to Antigua and Barbuda.

The move signals the government's intent to strengthen border defences as concerns over the spread of the disease continue to grow internationally. If approved by Cabinet, the measure would represent one of the most significant border health interventions enacted by the twin-island nation in response to the outbreak.
