The Antigua and Barbuda Red Cross Society (ABRCS) has bolstered its emergency preparedness and humanitarian response capacity after representatives successfully completed a regional Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Training programme held from May 18–22, 2026 in Guadeloupe.

According to Antigua Observer, the intensive five-day training was hosted by the Plateforme d'Intervention Régionale Amériques Caraïbes (PIRAC), with Antigua and Barbuda sending representatives to participate alongside counterparts from across the region.
