The Antigua and Barbuda Medicinal Cannabis Authority (ABMCA) has taken a proactive step toward strengthening national law enforcement by delivering foundational training on medicinal cannabis legislation to nearly 60 police recruits.
According to Antigua Observer, the ABMCA recently conducted a dedicated educational engagement session at the Police Training School, introducing recruits to the legal framework surrounding medicinal cannabis in Antigua and Barbuda.
The Authority described the initiative as critical to developing a more informed and effective law enforcement body — one capable of navigating the evolving legal landscape surrounding cannabis in the country.
By targeting officers at the recruitment stage, the ABMCA aims to ensure that those entering the national police service have a clear and accurate understanding of medicinal cannabis laws from the outset of their careers.
