The Antigua and Barbuda Public Utilities Authority (APUA) has issued a formal apology to the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission (ABEC), its staff, and members of the public after water supply disruptions impacted registration centres and interrupted essential services.

According to Antigua.news, APUA released a statement Thursday acknowledging the inconvenience caused, particularly for individuals attempting to access important public services at the affected locations.

The authority's Water Business Unit stated that it continues to face daily distribution challenges across its network. Officials said they are currently reviewing operational systems with the goal of improving and balancing water flow across communities and service areas.

APUA said teams are actively working to restore and improve water service in the affected areas so that normal operations can resume as quickly as possible.

The utility also acknowledged growing frustration among customers who have experienced repeated service interruptions, noting that efforts remain underway to strengthen the reliability and consistency of the water distribution network.
