Three individuals are set to appear before the courts following a series of coordinated police operations in the Red Hill community that resulted in the seizure of a firearm, ammunition, and multiple quantities of cannabis.

According to Antigua.news, the operations were conducted in the early hours of Monday by officers from the Criminal Investigations Department Task Force, the Gang and Guns Suppression Unit, the Special Services Unit, and the K-9 Unit, acting under the authority of the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda.

Officers executed multiple search operations across the area, leading to the arrest and charging of three individuals on firearm and drug-related offences.

Embert St. Ange of Red Hill faces charges of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, and unlawful possession of cannabis. Officers allegedly recovered a Ruger .380 auto pistol during the operation, along with fourteen rounds of .380 ammunition, one round of 9mm ammunition, and approximately one pound of cannabis.

In a separate matter arising from the same operations, 38-year-old Gael St. Ange was charged with unlawful possession of 113 grams of cannabis. Gael St. Ange was also jointly charged with 28-year-old Tamisha Cyrille with unlawful possession of 3.8 pounds of cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to transfer.

All three accused are expected to appear before the court at a later date.

Police stated that the arrests form part of ongoing efforts to combat illegal firearms and drug activity across Antigua and Barbuda. Officers pledged to continue targeted operations aimed at improving public safety and reducing criminal activity within communities.
