Police are investigating the death of a 75-year-old man whose body was discovered floating in the McKinnons Salt Pond on Friday evening, according to Antigua.news.

The deceased has been identified as Eric Colbourne of Athill Street, Villa.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:45 p.m. on May 15 after receiving a report that a body had been spotted in the water north of the Mystic Beach Bar. Upon arrival, they found the lifeless body of an elderly man floating in the shallow area of the pond, who was subsequently identified as Colbourne.

The exact circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear. Investigators have not yet disclosed whether foul play is suspected, and police say inquiries are ongoing.
