Motorists travelling along All Saints Road this weekend should prepare for overnight detours and possible delays as the Ministry of Works advances a major phase of the All Saints Road Project.
Significant construction activity will take place between FADI Building Supplies and Fresh and Eazy Supermarket as part of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda's ongoing infrastructure programme. The works will trigger temporary traffic diversions once the current single-lane traffic arrangement expires at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17, 2026. Detours will remain in effect overnight until 7 a.m. the following mornings.
Motorists travelling out of St. John's will be required to turn right at Flex Hardware Store and use the Heritage Preschool road to reconnect with All Saints Road. Drivers heading into St. John's will be redirected to turn left at D'Cravinz and travel through Herberts before rejoining the route into the city.
The Ministry confirmed that traffic personnel will be stationed along the route to guide motorists and maintain traffic flow. Sections of the detour will operate as one-way traffic zones, with signage installed to assist commuters.
Residents near the work area will retain local access throughout the construction period, and businesses in the vicinity are expected to remain open.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution, as heavy-duty equipment will be operating near the construction zone. All instructions from traffic officials must be followed. The Ministry is also encouraging road users to adjust their travel schedules and allow extra time for potential delays.
