The Ministry of Works has advised the public of a temporary slowdown in ongoing road upgrade projects across Antigua and Barbuda, caused by unforeseen delays in the shipment of aggregates needed for both asphalt and concrete works.
The disruption has affected the pace of works at active road improvement sites nationwide. The Ministry confirmed that normal operations are expected to resume by Monday, May 25, 2026.
The Ministry expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to commuters, residents, and business owners, and urged the public's continued patience and cooperation as authorities work to restore full progress on the national road network.
