Health Minister Michael Joseph has completed visits to all 22 public clinics across Antigua as part of activities marking Nurses Week 2026, according to Antigua News Room.

During the island-wide tour, Minister Joseph visited clinics in Bethesda, Freetown, Newfield, Swetes, Liberta, Cobbs Cross, Jennings, Bolans, Johnson's Point and Old Road. At each stop, he presented gift baskets to nursing staff in recognition of their service.

The baskets, personally sponsored by the minister, were given as a token of appreciation for nurses' commitment, compassion and dedication to patient care across Antigua and Barbuda.

The Ministry of Health described the initiative as part of broader efforts to acknowledge the vital contribution nurses continue to make within the country's healthcare system.

With the completion of this latest round of visits, all public clinics in Antigua have now received gift baskets. Visits to clinics in Barbuda are expected to follow.

Minister Joseph reaffirmed his commitment to supporting healthcare workers and strengthening primary healthcare services nationwide. He noted that nurses remain central to patient care and community wellness, highlighting their frontline role in delivering essential healthcare services to the public.
