Health Minister Michael Joseph visited the site of a fatal road accident on All Saints Road Tuesday morning, following the death of a beautification worker contracted by the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA). According to Antigua News Room, the worker was struck and killed while carrying out roadside duties earlier that day.

Joseph, whose ministerial portfolio includes oversight of the NSWMA, met with grieving relatives at the scene and extended condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased.

The minister used the occasion to issue a public appeal to motorists, urging them to exercise greater caution when driving near roadside crews and public workers. He said the incident underscores the critical importance of vigilance, patience, and respect for those working along the nation's roads.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
