Police are investigating a violent home invasion at Penny Lane, Upper Fort Road, after two masked men armed with machetes robbed residents during an early morning attack on May 5.
According to Antigua News Room, the intruders entered the home at approximately 2 a.m. through an unsecured window before confronting a male occupant in his bedroom.
The man told police that one of the suspects demanded a shoulder bag containing cash, identification cards, a cellular phone, and a vehicle key. A struggle reportedly ensued as a second intruder dragged a female occupant into a hallway.
The woman told investigators that she was robbed of her iPhone 15 Pro and EC$350 after being threatened at machete-point by one of the masked men.
Both suspects fled the property with cash, phones, and other personal items before officers arrived on the scene. Investigators subsequently observed signs of forced entry and processed the property for evidence.
No arrests have been made. Police say investigations are ongoing.
