Police are investigating an early morning shooting and vehicle chase along the Sir Sydney Walling Highway, according to Antigua News Room.
A police report states that an officer observed a white Honda CR-V travelling east near the Old Parham Road junction when two loud explosions were allegedly heard coming from the vehicle. The officer responded by firing warning shots into the air before giving chase to the SUV.
Additional officers later joined the pursuit near Utopia Park, where the vehicle allegedly accelerated and fled the scene once more. During the second chase, officers fired several shots at the fleeing vehicle.
Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
