Police are investigating a dramatic early morning incident involving gunfire and a vehicle pursuit along the Sir Sydney Walling Highway, according to Antigua.news.
A police officer observed a white Honda CR-V travelling east when two loud explosions were allegedly heard coming from the vehicle near the Old Parham Road junction. The officer then discharged warning shots into the air and gave chase.
Additional officers subsequently responded to the scene near Utopia Park. The vehicle sped away from the area, prompting a second pursuit after officers fired several shots at the fleeing SUV.
Investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
