The Treasury Department is actively processing retroactive salary payments for eligible public sector workers across a wide range of government ministries and departments.

Cabinet Notes confirm that payments have already been issued to employees within numerous state agencies. These include the Office of the Prime Minister, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, the Police and Fire Department, Immigration, the Antigua and Barbuda Defence Force, Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Works, and the Passport Office, among others.

Eligible pensioners and separated public servants are also included in the disbursement process.

The Treasury Department had aimed to complete the bulk of retroactive payments during April 2026. A further update on the progress of remaining disbursements is expected on May 15.
