Newly appointed Minister of Health Michael Joseph has launched a review of operations and healthcare services at the Sir Lester Bird Medical Centre (SLBMC), according to Antigua Observer.

Joseph officially assumed his ministerial duties following his appointment on May 5th, attending his first Cabinet meeting the following day. He subsequently met with Permanent Secretary Stacey Gregg-Paige to discuss priority areas within the ministry, as reported by Antigua Observer.

The review signals an early focus by the new minister on the state of healthcare delivery at the nation's primary medical facility.
