Antigua and Barbuda's Parliament is set to convene three times this month for the swearing-in of elected members and senators, the election of presiding officers, and the delivery of the Speech from the Throne, according to Antigua News Room.

The Lower House of Parliament will meet on May 18th to elect a Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House, with elected members also being sworn in during the sitting. The government has put forward Osbert Frederick for the position of Speaker and Dr. Philmore Benjamin as Deputy Speaker.

Two days later, on May 20th, the Upper House of Parliament will convene to elect a Senate President and Deputy President, with senators also being sworn in at that sitting. The government has nominated Alincia Williams-Grant as President and Philip Shoul as Deputy President.

The parliamentary proceedings will conclude on May 26th, when His Excellency the Governor General, Sir Rodney Williams, will present the Speech from the Throne.
