Governor General Sir Rodney Williams and Lady Williams will host a formal ceremony Friday morning for the presentation of Government Senators at Government House.
According to Antigua News Room, an official invitation issued by Government House confirms the ceremony is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Friday, May 8, at Government House on Independence Drive. Guests have been asked to be seated by 9:45 a.m.
The event forms part of the post-election constitutional process following the recent general election and the swearing-in of members of the Lower House earlier this week.
The Senate serves as the Upper House of Parliament in Antigua and Barbuda and is composed of appointed members who participate in debating and reviewing legislation brought before Parliament.
