Kiz Johnson has made history, becoming the second female Member of Parliament in Antigua and Barbuda after a successful debut on the campaign trail.

Contesting the April 30, 2026 general elections for the first time, Johnson secured victory in the St. Philip's South constituency. On Tuesday evening, she was sworn in as Minister of State in the Ministry of Social and Urban Transformation, cementing her place in the nation's political history.

The milestone marks a significant moment for women in Antiguan politics, with Johnson becoming only the second woman to hold a seat in Parliament.
