United Progressive Party (UPP) Political Leader Jamale Pringle has expressed gratitude to the constituents of All Saints East and St. Luke following his victory in the April 30 general elections — a win that made him the party's sole successful candidate.
According to Antigua.news, Pringle issued a message of thanks on social media shortly after the results were confirmed, acknowledging voters for their loyalty and pledging continued dedication to their representation.
"I wish to thank the constituents of All Saints East and St. Luke who voted for me in the 2026 General Elections," Pringle said. "Once again, you demonstrated your love, support and commitment, and I pledge that I will continue to do the same."
Pringle's win came amid a difficult night for the UPP, which failed to secure any seats beyond his own, leaving him as the lone opposition voice in Parliament.
Despite the broader electoral setback, Pringle maintained a tone of determination and purpose. He assured constituents he intends to make his presence in Parliament felt more strongly in the months ahead.
"I will also ensure that my presence is felt even more as we move forward together with the aim of bringing good governance to Antigua and Barbuda," he added.
His statement has been read as both an expression of gratitude and a declaration of intent, as the UPP faces the challenge of regrouping following a significant defeat at the polls.
Political analysts note that Pringle's continued hold on the constituency reflects a strong personal connection with local voters, even as broader questions about the party's direction remain unanswered.
For residents of All Saints East and St. Luke, attention now turns to representation. Pringle has pledged to remain active, visible, and responsive as he carries their concerns forward in Parliament.
