According to Antigua Observer, Browne made the pledge while addressing a joint rally of the Antigua Trades and Labour Union (AT&LU) and the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), outlining his government's commitment to empowering workers through tangible policy measures, including the introduction of a liveable wage.
The Prime Minister framed the announcements as a defining mission of his administration, signaling that improved compensation and enhanced on-the-job protections would be central priorities in the coming term.
The joint rally brought together two of the nation's most prominent labour and political organisations, providing Browne with a platform to speak directly to the concerns of working Antiguans and Barbudans. His remarks centred on the need to close the gap between wages and the true cost of living, as well as strengthening the frameworks that protect employees in the workplace.
