A 22-year-old man has begun serving a four-year prison sentence after a jury found him guilty of attempting to rape a young woman, according to Antigua Observer.
Sazeek Joseph, who was 22 years old at the time of the offences, was convicted in March on charges of attempted rape and serious indecency. The charges stem from events that unfolded in the early hours of the morning.
As reported by Antigua Observer, the jury returned its guilty verdict following the trial, and Joseph has since commenced his custodial sentence.
