Dwayne George, the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party's newly appointed parliamentary representative for St. Mary's South, says he is celebrating a hard-fought victory following his recent electoral success.
According to Antigua Observer, George made these remarks following the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Attorney General Sir Steadroy Benjamin, held last Friday at Government House.
George acknowledged the significance of the win in what is understood to have been a closely contested race for the constituency seat. His comments came as the ABLP marked a new chapter in governance following the ceremony at Government House.
Also notable in the aftermath of the election, as reported by Antigua Observer, was a message of gratitude from Simon, who took the opportunity to thank supporters for their backing throughout the electoral process.
