The Chairman of CARICOM has extended congratulations to Prime Minister Gaston Browne of Antigua and Barbuda following his fourth consecutive electoral victory, according to Antigua News Room.
The congratulatory message was issued in the wake of the general elections held on 30 April, in which Prime Minister Browne secured another term in office. The CARICOM Chair described the result as a commanding victory, saying it reflects the continued confidence of the people of Antigua and Barbuda in his leadership and vision for the nation's development.
The message also extended congratulations to the people of Antigua and Barbuda for upholding what the Chair called the region's proud tradition of democracy and peaceful elections.
Looking ahead, the CARICOM Chairman expressed best wishes for a successful term and for the further advancement of Antigua and Barbuda. The Chair also indicated a desire for continued regional collaboration in addressing the shared challenges facing the Caribbean.
