Barbuda's beloved annual Caribana festival is set to return from May 21 to 25, 2026, offering five days of cultural events, music, food, and entertainment across the sister island. According to Antigua News Room, the celebrations are expected to draw residents, visitors, and returning nationals alike.

The festivities kick off on Thursday, May 21, with an opening parade at 2 p.m., followed by Kids Fest at 3 p.m. and the Junior Calypso Monarch competition at 8 p.m.

Friday, May 22, brings Wheels United – Park & Lime at 11 a.m., with the Calypso/Soca Monarch competition getting underway later that evening at 8:30 p.m.

Saturday's schedule features the Spritz & Sun Seafood Fest and the Johnny DeSouza Fishing Tournament, running from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The night then comes alive with the Caribana Colors Fete, running from 10 p.m. through to 4 a.m.

Horse racing enthusiasts can look forward to the Caribana Classic Horse Racing event on Sunday, May 24, with races beginning at 1 p.m.

The festival concludes on Monday, May 25, with J'Ouvert from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by Last Lap festivities from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Caribana ranks among Barbuda's most significant cultural festivals, bringing together community celebration, sporting tradition, and island heritage across an action-packed long weekend.
