The United Progressive Party (UPP) is inviting members, supporters and well-wishers to a Labour Day gathering on Monday, May 4, at Ffryes Beach.
According to Antigua News Room, promotional material circulated by the party indicates the event will begin at noon and is being positioned as a day of "unity, relaxation and celebration" following the April 30 general election.
Organisers describe the gathering as a family-friendly occasion featuring music, food and social engagement. Supporters are encouraged to attend in party colours, and the event is open to individuals of all ages.
The UPP, which campaigned under the slogan "People First," is using the occasion to bring together its base for fellowship and reflection in the aftermath of the national polls.
Labour Day is observed annually in Antigua and Barbuda and is traditionally marked by political rallies and social events hosted by major parties.
