Lamin Newton has thanked his supporters and pledged to remain engaged in public life following his defeat in the All Saints East & St Luke constituency.

According to Antigua News Room, Newton issued a statement on Saturday expressing gratitude for what he described as strong backing from constituents, saying the response had reinforced his commitment to serve.

While acknowledging the result fell short of his campaign's hopes, Newton said he respected the democratic process. He also extended congratulations to incumbent MP Jamale Pringle on retaining the constituency seat.

Speaking directly to voters, Newton said the defeat would serve as motivation to improve and continue his work within the community.

He reaffirmed his intention to remain active in both constituency and national affairs, stating that his commitment to residents "remains unwavering" despite the electoral outcome.
