Popular internet streamer IShowSpeed received an impromptu lesson in local pronunciation during his live broadcast from Antigua and Barbuda on Sunday, after well-known Antiguan event host Steve "Ibis" Freeland stepped in to correct him on camera.

According to Antigua.news, the moment occurred as Speed streamed through sections of the island while interacting with fans who had gathered around him during his Caribbean tour stop. Throughout the broadcast, the streamer repeatedly referred to the country as "AN-TEE-GWA," prompting Freeland to intervene and demonstrate the pronunciation more commonly used by Antiguans — "AN-TEE-GAH."

Freeland, a familiar face in Antigua's entertainment and events scene, was heard carefully repeating the correct pronunciation as Speed attempted to follow along. Online viewers watched and reacted to the exchange in real time as it unfolded during the livestream.
