The Antigua and Barbuda Trades and Labour Union (AT&LU), in partnership with the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP), will host a Service of Thanksgiving this Sunday to mark the 75th anniversary of Labour Day, according to Antigua News Room.
The service is scheduled for May 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Gracefield Moravian Church in Cedar Grove, St. John's.
Organisers say the service forms part of a broader programme of activities recognising the enduring contributions of the labour movement in Antigua and Barbuda, with a focus on its role in advancing workers' rights and shaping national development.
Labour Day holds deep historical significance in the twin-island nation, rooted in the struggles and achievements of trade union leaders and workers whose efforts helped build modern Antigua and Barbuda.
The public has been invited to attend the anniversary thanksgiving service.
