Trevor Walker and the Barbuda People's Movement (BPM) are celebrating what they describe as a historic electoral win, saying the result carries a clear message from the people of Barbuda to the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP).

According to Antigua Observer, Walker secured the Barbuda seat by more than 200 votes — the largest margin of victory ever recorded in the sister island's electoral history.

Walker and the BPM framed the win not merely as a local political triumph, but as a direct statement from Barbudan voters to the ruling ABLP government. The scale of the victory, they argue, reflects the strength of feeling among residents of the island.
