The United States has extended congratulations to Prime Minister Gaston Browne following his electoral victory in Antigua and Barbuda.

In a press statement issued by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Washington expressed its desire to build on the existing relationship between the two nations. The statement outlined shared priorities, with a particular emphasis on strengthening regional security through deeper cooperation to counter illegal immigration, transnational criminal organisations, and illicit trafficking.

The US noted that enhanced collaboration in these areas would support greater stability and security across the hemisphere.
