United Progressive Party Political Leader Jamale Pringle has successfully defended his All Saints East and St Luke constituency seat in Antigua and Barbuda's 2026 general elections, according to Antigua.news.

Pringle, who also serves as Opposition Leader, turned back a challenge from Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party newcomer Lamin Newton in what became one of the closely watched contests of Thursday's vote.

Newton mounted a notable campaign in the lead-up to Election Day and drew considerable attention, but voters ultimately returned Pringle to office. The result reaffirms constituents' continued confidence in his leadership and representation of the All Saints East and St Luke district.
