Newly re-elected Member of Parliament for St. John's Rural South, Daryll Matthew, has pledged to begin planning and execution of key constituency projects without delay as he embarks on another term in office.
According to Antigua News Room, Matthew outlined his priorities in a post-election interview, confirming that ongoing infrastructure works would continue while new initiatives are advanced in the early phase of his term.
"Well, the roadworks that we've commenced certainly will continue," Matthew said, adding that attention would now turn to larger community developments.
Matthew identified two signature projects at the top of his agenda — the construction of a community centre in the Radio Range area and the establishment of Tyndale Park. He stated that planning for both would begin immediately.
"I have two big signature projects that I'm going to commence the planning and working on them immediately," he said.
The MP signalled a clear shift in focus from campaign promises to on-the-ground execution, indicating that concrete steps would be taken in short order to advance both developments.
Matthew also affirmed that broader constituency work would remain active throughout the new term, with continued community engagement and infrastructure development forming central pillars of his agenda.
