Michael Freeland of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) has won the St. George constituency seat, flipping the district from United Progressive Party (UPP) control, according to Antigua News Room.
With 100 percent of votes counted from the constituency's 5,997 registered electors, Freeland secured 2,198 votes to claim the seat. UPP candidate Kelton Dalso finished second with 1,359 votes, a margin of 839 votes.
Independent candidate Gail Pero Georges received 55 votes. Election officials rejected 27 ballots.
