A 22-year-old man charged in connection with a bomb threat against Police Headquarters has been remanded to prison following his first court appearance.

Kadeem Isaac, of Old Parham Road, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel without legal representation, according to Antigua News Room. He was remanded into custody until May 5, with the matter expected to be transferred to Magistrate Andrew Mighty.

Isaac's arrest followed a targeted operation by officers attached to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Task Force in the early hours of Tuesday, April 28. Police said he was taken into custody at approximately 6:15 a.m. and subsequently charged in connection with the threat, which was made the previous day.

The Office of Strategic Communications (STRATCOM) confirmed in an earlier statement that Isaac had been assisting investigators following his arrest. Authorities reiterated that all threats to public safety are treated with the utmost seriousness and noted that investigations into the incident remain ongoing.
