Hundreds of Antiguans and Barbudans are rushing to renew their voter ID cards in the final hours before the April 30 general election, with renewal activity remaining high up to the deadline. According to Antigua News Room, data from the Antigua and Barbuda Electoral Commission confirms sustained processing activity throughout the closing days of the renewal period.

Figures show 289 replacement applications were submitted on April 27, followed by 253 on April 28, after 73 were recorded on April 26. The three-day total stands at 615 replacements for the week, reflecting a late-stage surge as voters move to secure valid identification ahead of polling day.

Overall, more than 32,000 replacement voter ID cards have been processed during the month of April. Several constituencies have surpassed 60 percent completion, with others approaching full coverage across the island.

St. Peter leads all constituencies with a 93 percent completion rate. All Saints West follows at 72 percent, and St. Mary's South at 71 percent, reflecting strong participation in several key electoral districts.

As reported by Antigua News Room, the latest figures indicate that renewals are continuing "down to the minute," as voters make final efforts to confirm their eligibility before casting their ballots.
