The EcoShores Sustainable Futures Network (ESFN) hosted a Water Conservation Creative Workshop at Mill Academy in April, engaging young students in hands-on learning about protecting one of the planet's most vital resources. According to Antigua News Room, the session drew enthusiastic participation from youth eager to share practical ideas for conserving water.

Students proposed simple but impactful habits during the workshop, including turning off taps while brushing teeth, collecting rainwater, and reducing unnecessary waste. Their contributions reflected a genuine understanding of environmental responsibility and reinforced the value of introducing conservation principles at an early age.

The workshop combined education with creative expression. Participants completed water conservation worksheets exploring the many ways communities depend on clean water, while also engaging in colouring and drawing activities to illustrate their ideas. The creative element sparked meaningful discussions about water protection and served as a celebration of diversity and inclusion through artistic expression, in recognition of World Water Day.

Students also added their voices and artwork to ESFN's World Water Day board, an initiative first launched during a Creative Expression Workshop held on Saturday, March 21st, 2026. Their drawings and messages joined an ongoing collection reflecting youth-driven innovation and environmental stewardship. The workshop highlighted the critical role education plays in empowering future generations to take action on pressing environmental issues. Through discussion and hands-on activities, ESFN continues to nurture a sense of responsibility and creativity among young people.
