A festive political concert descended into chaos Saturday night when gunshots rang out at the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party's Red and Reddy event at Rising Sun Grounds, forcing an abrupt end to the highly anticipated evening.
According to Antigua.news, the shooting occurred during a performance by newly appointed ambassador Masicka, sending thousands of attendees fleeing in fear as more than five shots were fired into the packed crowd.
Antiga.news confirmed that at least one vehicle was struck by gunfire and at least one person sustained injuries. The extent of those injuries and the identity of the individual involved have not yet been disclosed.
No motive for the shooting has been established at this time.
