A 21-year-old Green Bay man has pleaded guilty to illegally possessing a modified firearm and ammunition, more than a year after the offences were committed.

Joel Isaac appeared before Chief Magistrate Ngaio Emanuel this week and admitted to two charges under the Firearms Act, according to Antigua.news. Both charges stem from an incident that occurred on July 27th, 2023, at Nut Grove.

Isaac pleaded guilty to possessing a modified flare gun without a firearm users' licence, and to separately possessing one round of 9mm GFL Luger ammunition without the required licence.

Represented by attorney Warren Cassell, Isaac is currently on bail from the High Court and will remain on bail pending sentencing. The matter has been adjourned to May 12th.
