More than 31,000 applications have been processed under Antigua and Barbuda's voter ID replacement programme, according to the latest figures released by the Electoral Commission. As reported by Antigua News Room, the cumulative total stood at 31,120 applications as of late April 2026, with 7,769 processed during that month alone.
The exercise forms a central part of preparations for the upcoming general election, with the Commission continuing to push for broader coverage across all constituencies.
St Peter recorded the highest completion rate among constituencies at 90%, followed by All Saints West at 69% and St Mary's South at 68%. Several constituencies, including St John's Rural West and St John's Rural South, remain just below the 60% completion mark.
By volume, St George registered the largest number of applications at 2,946, with All Saints West at 2,723 and St John's Rural West at 2,668 also among the top performers.
Weekly figures for the period of April 19 to 25 show 817 replacement applications processed, with activity concentrated earlier in the week. Daily totals peaked at 393 applications on April 20 and 335 on April 21, before tapering off in subsequent days.
The data also recorded a smaller number of new voter registrations during the same period, with 100 new applications submitted for the week.
The Electoral Commission has urged all eligible voters to complete the replacement process to ensure their ability to participate in the upcoming general election, as efforts to increase coverage across remaining constituencies continue.
