Three fishermen from Antigua and Barbuda were rescued at sea on Monday after their vessel was disabled by an electrical failure near the island of Redonda, according to Antigua.news.
The men encountered difficulty while at sea when their boat developed electrical problems, leaving them stranded and unable to navigate safely. An aircraft later spotted the distressed vessel in waters near Redonda, which lies between Antigua and Montserrat.
By the time the vessel was located, authorities in St. Kitts had already mobilized and were prepared to assist. The St. Kitts Coast Guard subsequently responded to the scene and successfully towed the vessel to safety. The rescue was completed at approximately 3:55 p.m.
All three fishermen were safely accounted for following the operation. No injuries were reported.
