Health Ministry Offers $10,000 Reward After 30 Government Laptops Stolen

The Ministry of Health, Wellness, Environment and Civil Service Affairs is offering a $10,000 Eastern Caribbean dollar reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of those responsible for the theft of 30 government laptops from its St. John's headquarters.

The stolen devices — Dell Pro 16 notebook computers — were reported missing from the Ministry's offices and are now the subject of an active law enforcement investigation. Officials describe the laptops as critical to healthcare administration and the delivery of public services across Antigua and Barbuda.

The Ministry is appealing to the public for assistance, urging anyone with information, however small it may seem, to come forward. All tips will be handled with strict confidentiality.

Members of the public can contact the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda at 462-3913 or 462-3914. Anonymous tips may be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 800-TIPS.

The Ministry also issued a firm warning against purchasing or accepting any of the stolen devices. The laptops remain the property of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda, and anyone found in possession of them could face legal consequences.
