Randy Baltimore, the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party candidate for St. Philip's North, has categorically denied agreeing to participate in a candidates' debate being advertised through a flyer circulating on social media. According to Antigua News Room, the flyer promotes an event purportedly scheduled for Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Glanvilles Polyclinic — a claim Baltimore has dismissed as false and misleading.
Baltimore stated that he has neither agreed to nor received any confirmation from an organising body regarding such an event. His campaign team and the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party have also received no official communication concerning the purported debate.
Further raising doubts about the flyer's legitimacy, checks conducted at the Glanvilles Polyclinic revealed that relevant personnel at the facility are equally unaware of any such event being scheduled on the premises for the stated date and time.
Baltimore has characterised the circulating flyer as an attempt to spread misinformation and disinformation, warning that it risks creating unnecessary political confusion within the constituency. He is calling on those responsible to immediately cease what he describes as deceptive tactics designed to mislead the public and stir political discord.
The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party, for its part, reaffirmed its commitment to engaging constituents honestly and respectfully, with a platform centred on development, stability, and national advancement.
