Antigua and Barbuda is set to host a major regional youth leadership event this June — its first time doing so in over two decades. According to Antigua News Room, the Rotaract District 7030 Conference 2026, themed "Linked in Wadadli," will be led by the Rotaract Club of Antigua and will place the twin-island nation at the centre of Caribbean youth development.
Scheduled for June 25 to 29, 2026, the conference will be held at Pineapple Beach Club. Approximately 200 young leaders and professionals from across the Caribbean are expected to attend four days of leadership development, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
Rotaract District 7030 represents a network of 47 clubs spanning territories including Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados, Curacao, Dominica, French Guiana, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Montserrat, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago. The annual conference serves as the district's premier platform for training, networking, and advancing youth-led solutions to regional challenges.
The theme "Linked in Wadadli" reflects a focus on connection, identity, and regional integration, positioning Antigua and Barbuda as a hub where Caribbean youth can build partnerships, exchange ideas, and strengthen collective leadership.
The conference programme will feature intensive leadership training sessions, expert-led discussions, innovation workshops, and community service activities, alongside cultural showcases celebrating Caribbean diversity. Networking events designed to foster long-term professional and regional connections will also feature prominently.
Over the decades, the Rotaract District 7030 Conference has rotated across Caribbean territories, consistently attracting between 150 and 200 participants annually. The event contributes to local economies while building a pipeline of skilled, service-driven leaders.
The 2026 conference is being led by District Rotaract Representative Crystal Mohammed of the Rotaract Club of San Fernando South, with Co-Chairs Sherwyn Greenidge and Dr. Namadi Belle of the Rotaract Club of Antigua. They are supported by a diverse local and regional planning team, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening youth capacity and expanding opportunities for collaboration across the region.
Organisers say the conference aims to equip Caribbean youth with practical leadership skills, strengthen regional collaboration, and drive community impact through service projects aligned with global development priorities.
