One of three men on trial for the murder of senior Customs officer Nigel Christian emphatically denied any involvement in the killing during police interviews that were read into evidence in court Thursday.
According to Antigua Observer, Saleim Harrigan declared, "Me swear on my mother and pickney life. That nuh inna fumme league," when investigators questioned him about whether he had shot and killed Christian. The statement was among several police interviews presented before Justice Rajiv Persaud during proceedings.
Harrigan is one of three accused men whose police interviews were read into evidence on Thursday, as reported by Antigua Observer. The case concerns the death of Nigel Christian, who held a senior position within the Customs service.
The trial before Justice Persaud continues as the court works through the evidence against the accused.
