United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate Jamale Pringle has put forward a significant policy proposal to transition Antigua and Barbuda's public sector to a four-day work week, should the party win the next general election.

According to Antigua Observer, Pringle — who is contesting the All Saints East and St Luke constituency — unveiled the proposal on Tuesday evening at the "UPP Rising Rally," a campaign event organised by the party.

The plan, which Pringle described as a landmark shift in public sector employment, targets implementation by 2027. The proposal signals an ambitious reform agenda as the UPP seeks to differentiate its platform ahead of the upcoming election.
